KENNEDY — A 29-year-old Kennedy man was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Route 394.

According to New York State Police, Terence Sweeney was pulled over for speeding and determined to be intoxicated. He was taken to the Jamestown Troopers’ barracks and found to have a .09 percent blood alcohol content.

He was processed, issued tickets returnable to the Town of Poland Court and released with an order to appear in the Town of Poland Court next month to answer the charge.
