LOS ANGELES — Robin Lehner kept the Buffalo Sabres in the hockey game Thursday night as the Sabres got outshot 25-11 through 40 minutes of play. At the end of the second period, it was a scoreless tie.

In the third period, Buffalo started shooting at the net, racking up more shots — 15 — than they had in the first two periods combined. Unfortunately, none of them went in … compared to two of Los Angeles’ 11 shots.

Final score: L.A. Kings, 2 – Buffalo Sabres, 0.

The Kings goals were scored by Jarome Iginla — just 36 seconds into the third period — and Adrian Kempe — at 14:40.

The loss pushes Buffalo to 10 points out of the playoffs with only 11 games left.

The Sabres have a chance to pick up two of those points against the Ducks. Puck drops at 10 p.m.
