Rae E. Beiter, of the Town of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, in Buffalo General Hospital. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on March 13, 1943, a daughter of the late Raymond and Violet (Mortimer) Page.

Mrs. Beiter attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Stella Niagara and also the Catherine Gibbs School in Boston. She was employed with Friden Business Machines in Cheektowaga, where she met her husband and later with her family business Mortimer’s Restaurant Supplies. Mrs. Beiter volunteered at St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy, the North Tonawanda Food Pantry and was a member of the St. Jude’s Church Choir and the Shawnee Road Breakfast Club. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Beiter is survived by her husband of 52 years Gerhard ‘Bud’ Beiter; one daughter, Danielle Giammusso; two sons, David (Kelly) Beiter and Damon (Susan) Beiter; seven grandchildren, Paige, Samuel, Olivia, Alexandra, Casey, Adam and Noah; also many nieces and nephews.

Her family will be present on Friday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY, with the Rev. James Kirkpatrick officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy, 325 Walden Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14211.
