ROCHESTER — Thirty-three-year-old Joseph Green of Rochester was sentenced to 42 months in prison following a conviction of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Douglas E. Gregory, who handled the case, stated that on Aug. 9, Green was arrested by United States Marshals and Rochester Police officers on Child Street in Rochester. The defendant was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant for an unrelated felony matter being handled in Monroe County Court.  At the time of his apprehension, Green was in possession of a Raven Arms .25 caliber pistol, loaded with one round in the chamber and six rounds in the magazine.
