OLEAN — A 24-year-old Buffalo man was charged Saturday with fourth-degree criminal possession of a stimulant following a traffic stop on Pleasant Avenue.
According to New York State Police, Troopers stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. The odor of marijuana led to police finding Lawrence C. Smith Jr., a passenger in the vehicle, with approximately 2.5 grams of cocaine.
The driver was released with traffic tickets. Smith was processed at SP Olean and arraigned in the City of Olean court to reappear later this month.
