EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has announced the 2017 Women’s Track and Field Preseason Poll. The Purple Eagles were picked tied for eighth.
The Purple Eagles medaled in five events at the 2016 MAAC Championships and finished in eight place with 17 points, ahead of Siena and Canisius.
Niagara returns 19 letterwinners, led by seniors Caroline Hampton (Mid-Distance), Monique McBride (Sprints), and Kayla Murphy (Mid-Distance).
The Purple Eagles begin their season at the Monmouth Season Opener on March 25.
