JAMESTOWN — A 34-year-old Buffalo man is facing drugged driving and drug possession charges, as well as vehicle and traffic violations following a traffic stop this morning on Route 60.

According to New York State Police, Justin Blankenship was pulled over for a traffic violation and placed under arrest after he failed multiple field sobriety tests. Police say they located a bag containing Vicodin and Xanax pills in Blankenship’s vehicle and he was subsequently charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance in a non-original container, and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Blankenship was transported to the Jamestown Troopers’ barracks where he was evaluated by a Chautauqua County Drug Recognition Expert. He was then processed, issued tickets returnable to the City of Jamestown Court and released with orders to re-appear at a later date.
