ALBEQUERQUE, NM – University at Buffalo graduates, Jon Jones and Meg Manley had outstanding performances at the USA Track and Field Indoor Championships on Saturday, March 4. Jon Jones won himself a silver medal in the shot put, and Meg Manley placed eighth overall in the 600m.

Jon Jones had a historic career during his years at Buffalo. Jones’ success is most notable in his NCAA Championship gold medal in the men’s shot put in 2015. His championship win was the first national champion in Buffalo’s Division I history. Jones was a six-time All-American, and threw a school record distance of 20.78 meters on his second attempt. His history continued as he competed in the USATF Indoor Championships on March 4. Jones took second place with a distance of 20.53 meters.

Meg Manley also competed at the USATF Indoor Championships on March 4. The Buffalo graduate took eighth place overall in the 600m after placing second in her heat.
