TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 19-year-old Lockport man was charged Saturday with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of marijuana following a Transit Road traffic stop.

According to New York State Police, Aaron S. Wysochanski was stopped for failing to yield the right of way when entering the roadway. Troopers smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle upon approach and found him to be in possession of Alprazolam pills without a prescription and approximately thirty-seven grams of marijuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to SP Lockport for processing.
He was issued an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket both returnable to the Town of Lockport Court at a later date.
