GENESEE — A 42-year-old Ceres man was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Bells Brook Road.

According to New York State Police, Troopers stopped Billy J. Roberts for a vehicle equipment violation and determined him to be intoxicated. He was taken to the Amity Troopers barracks and found to have a .10 percent blood alcohol content.

He was released on tickets and is scheduled to appear before the Town of Genesee Court on March. 1.
