LOCKPORT — The man accused of robbing Eastern Niagara Hospital’s emergency room on May 7 for drugs has pled to second-degree robbery and was released from custody while he awaits sentencing on May 30.

Prosecutors say Adam Kibler had robbed the hospital of prescription drugs just prior to 5 a.m. on May 7. He reportedly was carrying a pair of long guns and claimed to have a bomb in a backpack.

Kibler was in Niagara County Court on Tuesday to accept the deal, which requires him to begin immediate treatment at Horizon Health Services and could result in seven years confinement in state prison and three years of post-release supervision.

Following a city-wide manhunt, Kibler was arrested at his home 120 Levan Ave. and has been in custody since his arrest.
