ST. BONAVENTURE — The Niagara Purple Eagles fell to the Akron Zips, 7-0, on Saturday in their second match of the spring season.

The Purple Eagles lost all three doubles matches to lose the doubles point. In singles action, NU fell in all six singles matches. No. 1 Stella Peisakhova and No. 2 Shannon Wong had respectable first sets in their matches before falling in straight sets.

The Purple Eagles will play their first home match of the season when they host Detroit-Mercy on Thursday at Noon at South Towns Tennis Club in Orchard Park.
