CLARKSVILLE — A 51-year-old Olean woman and her 26-year-old son were charged today with second-degree murder following the death of a 57-year-old Clarksville man.
According to New York State Police, around 12:30 a.m., the NYSP Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to investigate the death of Royce A. Chapman at his residence of 8754 County Route 40.
Following investigation State Police charged Lana M. Joseph, who had a former relationship with the victim, and Richard D. Mosher, III, Joseph’s son.
The defendants are to be arraigned and remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash/$100,000 bond.
This is still an ongoing criminal investigation. Police ask any with information or had any contact with the suspects on Tuesday to contact the NYSP at 585-268-7086.
