Ames, Paul H., of Lockport, NY passed away January 27, 2017 in Eastern Niagara Hospital. Born January 13, 1939 in Lockport, he was the son of the late George H. and C. Mildred (Halbig) Ames. Paul went to work at the Sanford Gooding Co. in 1957 working his way up to from printer to shop foreman and retired in 1997 as a printer. He enjoyed bowling and was an advisor in the BOCE Printing Program and a member of the Craftsman Club. His most enjoyment was watch his three sons’ participation in all their sports activities as they grew up.
Paul is the husband of Joyce (Boetcher) Ames; father of Jeffrey (Tammy) Ames of Getzville, NY, Douglas (Tina) Ames of Glenwood, NY and David (Tracey) Ames of Coral Springs, FL. He is also the grandfather of Ryan, Alexis, Devan, Bradley, Corey, Kyle, Madison, Jacob, Nicholas, Kennedy, Patrick and Carter. Brother of George M. (late Mary Lowe) Ames.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 3 to 6:30 in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY where funeral services will follow immediately at 6:30 PM. Memorials to the American Diabetes Assoc., American Heart Assoc. or the Charity of one’s Choice would be appreciated by the family.
