Selina Von Jackowski, a sophomore for the Bulls, took home first place in the long jump with a distance of 19′ 5.5″. Von Jacowski also ran the fourth fastest time in the competition, hitting a new personal best, in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.59 during the preliminaries. This is the fastest time run by a Buffalo hurdler this year and currently ranks fourth in the Mid-American Conference. Throwers Miranda Daucher and Jess Dhaliwall had a stellar performance at the meet. Daucher took second in the women’s weight throw with a distance of 59′ 11.75″, marking a new personal best for the senior. Dhaliwall joined Daucher in the Top-Five, taking third with a distance of 59′ 4″. Freshman Hannah Roof hit a season best in the pole vault. She cleared a height of 10′ 11.75″, and finished with a 13th place finish. Christine Lyttle and Kailyn Arcury did well on the 60HH. Lyttle came away with a fifth place finish, clocking in at 8.67; while Arcury finished seventh in 8.87. The men’s distance Medley team of John McCarthy, Treyvon Mask, Justin Van Epps, and Craig Kaiser sealed a fifth place finish with a time of 10:11.71.
Morgan Mahoney and Meagan Hopkins competed in the 5000m Inv, and both athletes hit new personal records in the race. Mahoney clocked in at 17:34.05, and Hopkins clocked in at 17:38.94; finishing eighth and ninth, respectively. Melinda Wheeler, Amy Villarini, Corinne Birchard, and Stephanie Ward competed in the Distance Medley Inv, and took away a fourth place finish with a time of 12:06.98.
