Hannah Miller had another great performance for the Bulls. Miller took first in the 1000 Free, 200 Free, and 500 Free. Her time of 10:14.65 in the 1000 Free beat out second place by over 10 seconds. The junior also clocked in at 1:52.17 in the 200 Free, narrowly beating out second place finisher and teammate Sarah Baxter by 0.70 seconds. Miller then brought it home with a first place finish in the 500 Free; clocking in at 5:01.96, nearly eight seconds faster than second place.
The success for the Bulls didn’t stop there, Julia Box took first place in two individual events and was the opening leg of the first place 200 Medley Relay team. The first place team consisted of Box, Sharne Tiller, Baxter, and Megan Burns. They clocked in at 1:44.01; narrowly beating second place by nearly a second. Box also took first place in the 200 Fly (2:03.58) and 100 Fly (56.49). Megan Burns was also a multiple first place finisher. In addition to be a member of the first place 200 Medley Relay team, Burns placed first in the 50 Free with a time of 23.08, 100 Free with a time of 51.59, and swam anchor in the first place 200 Free Relay team alongside Baxter, Catherine Schultheis, and Eve Kosten. The team finished with a time of 1:34.17.
The Bulls were also successful in the diving well today. Abbey Croce took first place in both the one-meter and three-meter dives. She posted a score of 303.83 on the one-meter and a 340.20 on the three-meter. Teammate Mackenzie Moss was right behind her, placing second on both diving boards. Valerie Lortie took third on the one-meter and fourth on the three-meter; while Kelly Moran took fourth on the one-meter and seventh on the three-meter.
The team will be back in action on Friday when they welcome St. Bonaventure to Alumni Arena Natatorium.
