NIAGARA UNIV. — The Purple Eagles men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams conclude the home portion of their 2016-17 dual meet schedule with a pair of meets this weekend. Niagara welcomes crosstown rival Canisius for the team’s Senior Day meet on Saturday, Jan. 20. The Purple Eagles and Golden Griffins will start the day with the diving events at 11 a.m. The team’s presentation honoring the nine graduating members of the team will take place at the conclusion of the diving events, followed by the swimming portion of the meet.
On Sunday, the women’s team will compete in a meet against the University of New Hampshire starting at 10 a.m. The Wildcats will come to Monteagle Ridge after competing at Binghamton on Saturday. After Sunday’s meet, Niagara concludes the regular season at St. Bonaventure on Jan. 28 before co-hosting the MAAC Championships at the Burt Flickinger Center in Buffalo beginning on Feb. 8.
