BUFFALO — After an outstanding performance in the diving well this past weekend, the Mid-American Conference has named senior Nick Rodriguez Diver of the Week announced by the conference office on Thursday morning.
On Friday, Rodriguez placed first on the one-meter dive with a score of 337.05. His success only grew from there, placing first again on the three-meter dive with a score of 337.55. After preliminaries on the platform dive on Sunday, the Bulls were sitting in first through fourth, with Rodriguez in first place. The senior from Central Square, NY blew the competition away in the finals. He posted an overall score of 327.00 in the finals of the platform dive, this was over 20 points higher than second place. His scores have also qualified him for NCAA Zones.
This is the second MAC honor for the swimming and diving team after sophomore Mason Miller was named Swimmer of the Week in early November.
