BUFFALO — Buffalo State mounted a late charge, but visiting Geneseo remained perfect on the season with a 61-48 victory in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Sports Arena.

Caleh McLean (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) led Buffalo State with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Mariah Rosario (Flushing/RFK), Kaelee Lynch (Atwater, CA/Buhach Colony) and Princella McCullough (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) netted eight points apiece. Taylor Graham (Santa Rosa, CA/Maria Carrillo) added seven points to go with four assists and five steals. Geneseo scored the game first six points and led wire-to-wire, pulling ahead 41-18 by halftime. Buffalo State outscored the Knights 30-20 in the second half, including 15-7 in the fourth quarter, but ran out of time on the comeback bid. Geneseo outscored the Bengals 30-18 in the paint, and 13-1 at the free throw line.
                                                                                             
Buffalo State will visit Brockport tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. for the second meeting between the two teams this week.
