The Canisius golf team will officially open the 2017 spring schedule March 13-14 in Dallas, Texas, head coach Todd Hummel announced today. In all, the Golden Griffins are set to play in five spring events, capped off by the team’s annual trip to the MAAC Golf Championship in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The Griffs will officially return to the course March 13-14 when the team takes part in the Bradley Spring Break Invitational, which will be played at TPC Four Seasons, the same course that hosts the PGA’s AT&T Byron Nelson Championship each year. From there, the Blue and Gold will play in the 36-hole Coca-Cola Lehigh Valley Invite in Hellertown, Pa. That event is scheduled for April 2-3.

The Griffs will make their return to Pennsylvania April 10-11, when the team plays in the two-day Colonial Classic, hosted by Robert Morris in Moon Township, Pa. On April 15, Canisius will make its second-straight appearance in the field at the Battle of the Warren, which is played at Notre Dame’s Warren Golf Course in South Bend, Ind.

The 2017 spring season will conclude April 21-23, as the MAAC hosts its annual conference championship event at the Disney Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The MAAC Championship is a 54-hole event over three days, and the winning team will once again earn the league’s berth into the field of the NCAA Golf Championship.
