BOSTON—Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling,/Pawling) made 28 saves for his third shutout of the season and lead No. 10 Buffalo State to a 3-0 victory over Nichols tonight in the title game of the Boston Landing Collegiate Invitational.

Jake Rosen (E. Amherst/Williamsville North) opened the scoring, netting his fifth goal of the season late in the first period with assists from Zach Nieminen (Ajax, ON/Notre Dame CSS) and Taylor Pryce (Newmarket, ON/Cardinal Carter). DeLaVergne would not need any more support as he turned aside all 28 shots he faced to equal his own school record with his third shutout of the season. The Bengals added a pair of empty-net goals in the final minute by Nieminen and Anthony Beaumont (Lester, PA/Interboro) to seal the victory. Buffalo State finished with a 35-28 advantage in shots on goal.
