Angela L. Leighton of Amherst, NY, formerly of the Tuscarora Nation, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016, in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, NY. A member of the Snipe Clan, she was born in Lewiston, NY, on February 28, 1973, the daughter of Robert A. Leighton, Sr. and the late Yvonne D. [Moses] Leighton.

Angie attended the Tuscarora School and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield, where she excelled in lacrosse, soccer and bowling. She loved being outside, fishing, and swimming and was known for twirling hair.

Angie is survived by Pam (Bill) Simmeth, Chelsea and Shelby (her bonus family) and her friends at Aspire, two brothers Roy Moses and Robert Leighton, Jr., two sisters Christina and Danielle Leighton, also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 1-3:00 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Ave., NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, with the Rev. Walter A. Printup officiating.

Memorials may be made in her name to Hospice Buffalo.
