JAMESTOWN — A 19-year-old Buffalo man is facing several charges following a foot pursuit with Jamestown Police Thursday afternoon.

According to Jamestown PD, patrol stopped a vehicle on Crescent Street for a traffic violation around 1:50 p.m. Thursday. When the vehicle stopped, however, the occupant fled on foot. Officers pursued and apprehended the man, later identified as Kori D. Robinson.

The subsequent investigation revealed that Robinson had possession of a loaded handgun and discarded it during the foot chase. Officers located a loaded 9 mm handgun and found that the weapon had been reported stolen from a burglary in Jamestown in October.

Robinson’s charges include second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, obstructing governmental administration, and several vehicle and traffic violations. He is currently in the city jail and is awaiting arraignment.
