LOCKPORT — A 46-year-old Medina man was charged Friday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on West Genesee Street. 

According to New York State Police, Troopers stopped Mathew J. Fearby after he failed to stop at a red light. Investigation revealed Fearby was in possession of approximately 8.2 grams of marijuana and approximately a half a gram of cocaine. He was placed under arrest and transported to to the Lockport Troopers barracks for processing before being released on an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Lockport Court at a later date.
