William G. Carbin, age 84, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, NY, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence.  Born on July 28, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY, Bill, as he was known to family and friends, was the son of the late James A. and Doris E. (Jeffery) Carbin.

Mr. Carbin attended local schools.  He graduated from Niagara Falls High School and earned his associates degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia.  Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force, as an aerial photographer, during the Korean War.  Throughout his career, Mr. Carbin was employed by the Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Bell Aerospace, Carborundum and Bethlehem Steel.  He later became an entrepreneur, owning and operating several businesses. Bill was a member of the Niagara Falls Elk’s Lodge, #346 and was a participant of Complete Senior Care/PACE.  In his younger years, Mr. Carbin enjoyed bowling.

Mr. Carbin is survived by his children, Bill (Gina) Carbin, Catherine (Mike) Hoffman, Kim (Neil) Silcock, Jeffery (Ann) Carbin and Todd (Dana) Carbin and several grandchildren.  He is also survived by his former spouse, Stella Smith.  In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his daughter, Connie (Nick) Cicali and spouses, Carol Joan Hollingshead, Jacqueline Zelones and Margaret Ann Bennion Carbin.

The family will gather to receive friends on Monday, December 26th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara, where a funeral service, honoring Bill’s life, will be held at 12:00 p.m.  Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
