Clifford R. “Uddy” Printup of the Tuscarora Nation passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016, at his home under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice. A member of the Turtle Clan,  he was born in Lewiston, on April 17, 1938, the son of the late Clifford and Doris Rena [Pembleton] Printup.

He attended local schools and served with the US Air Force. Mr. Printup was a roofer with the Roofer’s Local #74 for many years and  was also a car mechanic. In his leisure time, he used to race cars and enjoyed going to the  race’s, mowing lawns and taking rides. Mr. Printup enjoyed taking his Suzuki out in the woods on the Nation. He touched many and was loved by all.

Mr. Printup is survived by one son Clifford Printup, Jr., four daughters TandiJo (Kevin) Lantrip, Mindy (Greg) Perrine, Carrie (Glenn) Schaller and Jackie (fiance’ Randy Amato) Printup, seven grandchildren Ashley (Cody) Schultz, Lottie (Justin) Gill, Derek Printup, Taylor Schaller, Chrystene and Aurora Printup and Travis Robson, three great grandchildren Isabella, Jag and Luke,  four brother Cyril (Agnes) Printup, Dennis Printup, Lanny (Sue) Printup and Theodore Printup, two sisters Susan (Bob) Gansworth and Penny Hudson, is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Erwin, Sunny Lee, Helen and Mary Printup and Dianne Fuller.  

His family will be present Wednesday from 10-12:00 PM at the Tuscarora Indian Mission 5035 Walmore Road, Lewiston, NY, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Donald A. Robinson, Jr. officiating.

Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice.

Interment with Military Honors in Mt. Hope Cemetery on the Tuscarora Nation.
