PITTSBURGH, Pa. — The Bulls will play their final road non-conference game on Wednesday night when they face Robert Morris at PPG Paints Arena. This is the second straight road trip for the Bulls to the Steel City as UB faced the University of Pittsburgh on Dec. 7.  In all, this will be UB’s ninth game during non-conference that will be played outside of Buffalo.

Buffalo is looking to continue its unblemished record against Robert Morris as UB has won the first three meetings in the all-time series between these two schools.  UB hosted the first two games of the series beginning with a 79-66 win on Dec. 17, 2003.  UB then defeated the Colonials 81-66 at Alumni Arena on Nov. 26, 2013 before winning at Robert Morris the following season, 74-59, on Dec. 7, 2014.

With non-conference play nearing an end, the Bulls have still played one of the toughest non-conferences schedules in the country and the toughest in the MAC.  According to Kenpom.com, UB has played the 24th toughest non-conference schedule in the nation.  From an RPI standpoint as of 12/20, UB has played games against Xavier (3), Creighton (9), Pittsburgh (24), and Nevada (28) to bolster their strength of schedule.

Robert Morris is 3-9 on the season following a 79-39 loss at Virginia on Saturday.  The Colonials have dropped four of their last five games, but did beat Duquesne 64-60 in their only other game at PPG Paints Arena this season.  RMU also has wins over Hampton and Towson after opening the year having lost its first five games.

Robert Morris is led by Isaiah Still, who is averaging 15.2 points per game, and has a team-high 29 three pointers on the year.  Kavon Stewart averages 10.4 points per game and he leads RMU with 42 assists.  No other Robert Morris player is averaging in double figures.  Billy Giles leads the
Colonials with 4.0 rebounds per game off the bench.

Robert Morris has a stingy defense that is 44th nationally and first in their conference, averaging 16.08 turnovers forced per game.  However, while RMU is 44th in turnovers forced they are 331st in turnovers per game as they averaged nearly 16.4 per game.

Andrew Toole is in his seventh season as head coach at Robert Morris. In six seasons under Toole’s tutelage, the Colonials have posted an overall record of 120-87 (.580), including a mark of 73-33 (.689) against Northeast Conference opponents. During Toole’s six seasons as head coach at RMU, the Colonials have claimed two NEC regular-season championships (2013, 2014), appeared in four NEC Tournament championship games and have made four national postseason appearances. Prior to coming to Robert Morris in 2007, Toole spent the 2006-07 season as an assistant at Lafayette.
