RANDOLPH — Twenty-five-year-old Dylan Purdy of Randolph was charged Monday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on Main Street.


According to New York State Police, Purdy was pulled over for traffic violations and was placed under arrest after two paper envelopes containing heroin were located behind the backseat of his truck. Purdy was processed at SP Jamestown, arraigned in the Town of Randolph Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.

Purdy is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Randolph next month to answer the charge.
