NIAGARA UNIV. — The Niagara University Department of Athletics welcomed back men’s basketball alumni to celebrate the history and brotherhood of the Purple Eagles basketball program for alumni weekend from Friday through Sunday.
Alums from the 1950s to the 2010s returned to Monteagle Ridge for the weekend’s festivities, beginning with the Basketball Alumni Dinner on Friday, Dec. 9. On Saturday, there was a game between the alums and this year’s team managers, with the alums besting the managers, 115-95.
At halftime of the Purple Eagles’ game with Norfolk State, alums in attendance were recognized including members of the 2006-07 MAAC Championship team.
