
TOWN OF TONAWANDA — The Town of Tonawanda Winterfest will be held at various locations around the town from Jan. 12 – 15.
The annual festivities includes ice skating, hockey, a KanJam tournament, a softball tournament, a magic show, wine tasting, beer tasting, chili tasting, food trucks, fireworks, and a wide variety of other outdoor activities.
The KanJam bash, new for 2017, will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 14 at the tennis courts in Lincoln Park. It requires a $20 registration per two-person team. Players must be at least 18 years of age. Register now through Jan. 3.
Beer tasting, courtesy of Resurgence Brewery will also be held Jan. 14 from 8-10 p.m. at DFK Pavillion. Obviously, it’s for those 21 and over. Attendees get 10 tickets to taste a variety of beers and a souvenir glass for $20. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Tonawanda Senior Center of the Tonawanda Youth, Parks and Recreation office.
Also, Jan. 14, the one-pitch softball tournament will be held at Lincoln Arena. Registration is $80 per team with a men’s tournament at 10 a.m. and a co-ed tournament at 11 a.m. Get your registration form online.
