BUFFALO — The University at Buffalo wrestling team will host its first home dual of the season when the Bulls take on Kent State on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Arena. The match will start at 2 pm.

Buffalo is 1-3 overall in duals this season and is coming off a 25-9 loss at Ohio last Sunday. Colt Cotten (149), Brett Perry (184) and Jake Gunning (285) earned victories for the Bulls. Gunning will look to stay undefeated as he is 6-0 on the season and is currently the top-ranked heavyweight in the Mid-American Conference.


Kent State is 1-1 overall on the season. This will be the Golden Flashes’ first MAC dual of the season. Kent State’s top wrestler is Anthony Tutolo (133) who is ranked 19th in the nation. Kent State leads the all-time series, 25-7. The Bulls are looking for their first win over the Golden Flashes since 2005.
