BUFFALO — The Buffalo State men’s hockey team returned to the national rankings this week, coming in at No. 10 in the D3Hockey.com poll, and No. 11 in the USCHO.com poll.

Both ranks are the highest marks received in program history.

Buffalo State is coming off a perfect 3-0 week that improved the team to 8-2-1 and 4-1-1 in the SUNYAC, including a 4-1 upset of then No. 4 Geneseo on Saturday.
It is the first time that the Bengals returned to the national rankings since being ranked No. 15 in the D3Hockey national poll on Nov. 21.

The SUNYAC has three teams in both rankings, with Oswego (1/1) and Geneseo (7/9) joining Buffalo State.

The nationally-ranked Bengals return to action on Friday against Cortland at 7:07 p.m. at the Buffalo State College Ice Arena.  The game will be broadcast live on Time Warner Sports Channel and buffalostateathletics.com.

Buffalo State then hosts No. 1 Oswego on Saturday at 7 p.m. to close out the fall semester.
