Canisius closes out its first weekend of MAAC play Sunday afternoon when the Golden Griffins travel to play at Monmouth.

The Griffs are coming off a 77-76 win at Manhattan Friday night in the league opener for both schools. Canisius has now won five straight MAAC openers, dating back to 2012-13. The win at Draddy Gym was just the eighth in Canisius’ program history. The win at Manhattan also extended Canisius’ road win streak to three straight. The last time Canisius won three-straight road contest was Feb. 19-March 21, 2015. Junior forward Jermaine Crumpton scored a career-high 26 points in the win over the Jaspers. Fellow junior Kassius Robertson added 20 points to the effort, giving Canisius two players with 20-or more points in a game for the first time since Dec. 22, 2015. Robertson hit a season-high five 3-pointers at Manhattan, his 50th career game where he’s connected on multiple 3-point makes.

Canisius will close out its four-game road swing at Boston University on Wednesday, Dec. 7. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
