Buffalo State’s Bass Sarr (New York, NY/JREC) was named a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III men’s soccer All-East Region first team after leading the SUNYAC in scoring this season.

Sarr, a sophomore forward, led the conference with 12 goals and 26 points in 17 games played.  He was an instrumental part to the Bengals going 11-7-1 and advancing to the conference semifinals.

Sarr scored five game-winning goals (tied for second-most in the conference), including converting a penalty kick in a 2-0 victory over New Paltz in the SUNYAC quarterfinal, the first playoff win for Buffalo State since 1984.

His 12 goals this season were the most in a year by a Bengal since 2003.

Sarr continues to add accolades after his stellar season.  He has already earned the Huntley Parker SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Year, the ECAC Division III North Offensive Player of the Year, and a SUNYAC first team selection to go with the All-Region honor.
