NIAGARA UNIV. — The Niagara University women’s basketball team is set to host Monmouth at 7 p.m. Friday at the Gallagher Center.

The Purple Eagles picked up their first road win of the season with a 67-49 victory at Cleveland State on Nov. 23. Victoria Rampado led the Purple Eagles in scoring with 20 points. She is the only Niagara player to score in double digits in every game so far this season. Rampado and Morgan Baughman led Niagara with nine rebounds each, which was a career-high for Baughman. Rampado and Baughman both set career-highs in assists; Rampado had six and Baughman had five. Tiffany Corselli added 18 points and Kaylee Stroemple had 15 points; both were season-highs.

Rampado leads the Purple Eagles in scoring and rebounding; she averages 18.6 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game. She also leads the team with four blocks. Freshman guard Maggie McIntyre leads the team with 17 assists and also has a team-high seven steals. The Purple Eagles are second in the MAAC in free throw percentage (71.1%), 3-point field goal percentage (38.5%) and assists (77). Corselli leads the conference in free throw percentage; she is 10-for-11 from the charity stripe (90.9%). Rampado’s 18.6 points per game rank her third in the MAAC in scoring and Baughman is third in 3-point field goal percentage (48.1%).

Following Friday’s game, the Purple Eagles host MAAC opponent Rider on Sunday, then resume non-conference play on Wednesday when the Purple Eagles host Hartford at 7 p.m.
