DANBURY, Conn. — Buffalo State men’s soccer player Bass Sarr (New York, NY/JREC) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III North Offensive Player of the Year today, per the conference’s release.

Sarr, a sophomore forward, led the SUNYAC in scoring with 12 goals and 26 points in 17 games played.  He was instrumental to the Bengals going 11-7-1 and advancing to the conference semifinals.  He netted five game-winning goals (tied for second-most in the conference), including converting a penalty kick in a 2-0 victory over New Paltz in the SUNYAC quarterfinals.

His 12 goals this season were the most in a year by a Bengal since Brain Miller finished with 16 in 2003.

Sarr was already named the 2016 Huntley Parker SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Year and earned SUNYAC first team honors.  The scoring sensation has tallied 19 goals over 33 games in his first two seasons at Buffalo State.
