NEW YORK — The University at Buffalo wrestling team will have a unique opportunity when they travel to New York City and compete at the famed Madison Square Garden on Sunday. The Bulls will go up against George Mason and Princeton at the Grapple at the Garden.

The Bulls will first face George Mason at 10:30 am. The Patriots are 0-1 in duals this season with a 35-6 loss at Indiana on November 17. George Mason also competed that the Navy Classic on Saturday. The Patriot’s Sahid Kargbo took home the title at 149 lbs.

The Bulls will take on Princeton beginning at 2:30 pm. The Tigers are 0-1 on the season after falling to Rutgers, 19-16, on November 19. The Tigers are ranked 19th in the nation and have six wrestlers in the national rankings. Matt Kolodzik (141) is ranked 8th; Jordan Laster (149) is ranked 19th; Jonathan Schleifer (174) is ranked 18th; Ian Baker (184) is ranked 17th; Brett Harner (197) is ranked 4th and Ray O’Donnell (285) is ranked 19th.

This will be the first ever meeting with George Mason and the fourth meeting with Princeton. The Bulls hold a 2-1 advantage against the Tigers, last meeting in 2006, a 40-4 victory for the Bulls.
