NIAGARA UNIV. — The Niagara University Purple Eagles return to the Gallagher Center for the first time since opening the 2016-17 season on November 11 to host the Drexel Dragons on Wednesday.

Niagara has been on a three-game road swing since opening the season at home. NU lost a close game to Brown on Nov. 13. NU rallied from a 14-point second half deficit to force overtime before falling in the extra session to the Hartford Hawks, 82-78, as part ESPN’s ninth annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon on Nov. 15. The Purple Eagles had a second half lead against Rutgers before a Scarlet Knight run lifted them to the win. This will be Niagara’s last home game until December 10 as the Purple Eagles will start a four game road trip at North Texas on Friday, November 25. This will be the third game as part of the Scarlet Knight Classic.

Three Purple Eagles are averaging in double figures – Matt Scott (20.5 ppg), Kahlil Dukes (13.0 ppg) and Dominic Robb (10.0). Matt Scott is coming off of a season-high 30-point effort this past Sunday at Rutgers for his third career 30-point game. He also led NU with eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.
