The Canisius College Cross Country program will take part in the annual ECAC/IC4A Cross Country Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, beginning Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
The men’s team will compete in the 108th IC4A University Division 8k event, while the women will run in the 31st annual ECAC University Division 5k.
The Blue and Gold ran in the NCAA Northeast Regional last weekend at the same course, with sophomore Siobhan Quinn racing to a Canisius record in the 6k event at 21:17.90.
A season ago, former Griff Chad Maloy won the IC4A Championship with a time of 25:28.4, as the men placed 10th overall, while the women ran to a 17th place finish in the ECAC race.
The race will cpmplete the Golden Griffins cross country season, with the team beginning indoor track play in January.
