CORTLAND — Buffalo State’s swimming and diving teams competed in a dual meet at Cortland this afternoon at Harriet Holsten Pool.  The men’s team lost, 149-126 while the women’s team fell, 151-69.

Dan Kuznetsov (Williamsville/Williamsville South) touched first in the men’s 500 yard freestyle, clocking in with a time of 5:05.09, Buffalo State’s fastest time in the event so far this season. Cody Wittmeyer (Boston, NY/Hamburg) won the men’s 100 yard butterfly, coming in at 54.62.  The time was also the fastest so far in the event, bettering a mark Wittmeyer set earlier in the year. Alyssa Greymont (Morgan Hill, CA/Flex Academy) set the fastest time in the women’s 100 yard butterfly for Buffalo State this season, coming it at 1:07.03. For the men’s team, it snapped a three-match winning-streak to open the season. The women’s side fell to 2-2 on the year.

Buffalo State will look to rebound as both the men’s and women’s teams head to the Hamilton Invitational, Dec. 2 – 4.
