PEMBROKE — A 29-year-old Batavia man was charged Sunday with driving while ability impaired by drugs following and accident investigation.

According to New York State Police, Troopers responded to an erratic driver complaint where a witness saw a vehicle hit a mailbox and continue on. Troopers located the suspect vehicle which was being operated by Nicholas Price. Field sobriety tests were administered and Price was subsequently charged with DWAI drugs, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, seventh-degree criminal possession of controlled substance and several traffic tickets.

Price was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Pembroke Court.
