BUFFALO — The Buffalo Sabres win streak ended at three as the Toronto Maple Leafs bested the Sabres, 2-1 at KeyBank Center.
The Maple Leafs earned their first win in Buffalo since a 4-3 overtime win on Jan. 29, 2013, breaking a seven-game losing streak at KeyBank Center and snapping a 1,373-day drought, the series record for most days between Maple Leafs wins in Buffalo since Toronto joined the Eastern Conference.
The Sabres set a season high with 43 shots tonight. It was the team’s highest shot total since they recorded 43 on March 18 vs. Carolina.
