ROCHESTER — A 27-year-old Sodus Point woman who was convicted of theft of public money, was sentenced to two years probation to include six months home detention by U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany H. Lee, who handled the case, stated that Jennifer Passeck, was a Relief Postmaster in the Sodus Point post office between March 2013 and March 2015. During that time, Passeck stole stamp revenues, post office box rental payments, and issued money orders to herself, all totaling $19,504.

The sentencing is the culmination of an investigation on the part of Inspectors of the United States Postal Service, Office of Inspector General, under the direction of Monica Weyler, Eastern Area Field Office, Philadelphia, Pa.
