TOWN OF NIAGARA — The town’s annual Electic Lights Parade will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The annual parade, often one of Niagara County’s best for the year, features the arrival of Santa Claus, who will end the parade, signifying the unofficial arrival of the holiday season.

The parade typically draws thousands of spectators to watch the scores of bands, floats, emergency vehicles and community groups making their way along Military Road from 4th Avenue to the KMart parking lot.

Volunteers will use the crowd as an opportunity to gather non-perishable food donations for local soup kitchens from attendees who bring them. While a donation is encouraged, it is not a requirement to enjoy the spectacle.

The parade is organized and presented by the Town of Niagara and the Town of Niagara Business and Professional Association.
