TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 54-year-old Lockport man was charged Friday with petit larceny, accused of stealing groceries from Tops.
According to New York State Police, The Niagara County Sheriff’s Department dispatched Troopers to a report of a shoplifter in custody at the Tops Market located at 5827 South Transit Road, where investigation revealed James P. Belliveau was detained by store personnel, who said he stole approximately $21 worth of groceries.
Belliveau was placed under arrest and transported to SP Lockport for processing. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Lockport Court at a later date.
