PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University at Buffalo men’s tennis team began the ITA Regionals on a high note Thursday as junior Vidit Vaghela won a pair of matches to qualify for the main draw.

Vaghela won his first match 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (7) against Julian Rozenstein of Quinnipiac and then won his second match of the day, 6-4, 6-2 over Balaji Lakshmanan from Drexel.

With the pair of victories, Vaghela becomes the sixth UB player to qualify for the main draw which begins tomorrow.  Joining Vaghela in the main draw from Buffalo is Petr Vodak, Villhelm Fridell, Filip Grbic, Ethan Nittolo, and Hao Sheng Koay.  The Bulls will also have a pair of duos in doubles with Grbic and Fridell and the pair of Vodak and Vaghela.
