BUFFALO — The Coaches’ Preseason Poll has been released and the men’s team is predicted to make a statement this year.

After completing the 2015-2016 season with a second place finish at the MAC Championships last year, the men are hoping to improve on that feat. The coaches have voted, and placed Buffalo second in the rankings, receiving only one first-place vote. But that hasn’t stopped them from receiving votes to be on top at the MAC Championships. With 20 returning athletes, the men are looking to make a splash at the MAC Championships again this year, hoping to break even more records than before.

The women finished fourth last year, and were ranked to finish fourth again this year. The women posted an impressive finish to the season last year, with five different conference titles. The women will be returning 21 athletes to the roster this year, one of them being Megan Burns, who broke the school, pool, MAC, and MAC Championship record in the 50 Free.

The men’s and women’s swimming and diving season is set to begin this Saturday in their home pool against the Cornell Bears at 1:00 pm.
