Rhoda Tisdale born in Baltimore, MD to the late Bishop Walter and Evangelist Catherine Campher peacefully entered into rest October 10, 2016 at home. Beloved wife of the late Archie Lytle and Edward Tisdale.

A dedicated church worker, Rhoda received Christ as her savior at an early age at the King’s Apostle Holiness Church. After moving to Buffalo she was choir director at the Church of God Tabernacle for 50 years. Also, serving tenure as Sunday school superintendent and on the house keeping team. As a missionary in the women’s department she held the position of treasurer for the New York State Northwest District. For many years Mrs. Tisdale taught piano playing for private students in the Buffalo area. A graduate of the school of sewing design, Rhoda mad one of a kind women’s wear sold in prominent Delaware Avenue Boutiques in Buffalo including choir wear.

Survivors include a devoted son, John; one sister Maxine Blake; one sister-in-law Gloria Campher both of Hagerstown, MD; one cousin Joseph Campher Sr. of Baltimore, MD; one brother-in-law Elvin Lytle of Raleigh, NC; one sister-in-law Marjorie Lewis of Oakland, CA; god children Rhoda Derbigny, Mary and Rudy Shephard, Dr. Vallerie Kee, Karen Burnett, and Robert Heicklen; and a host of nieces, nephews and greats. Predeceased by four brothers, Walter, Philip, Oliver, and Maylon; three sisters, Berniece Hill, Beulah Conwell. And Delores Randolph.

Friends are invited to join the family at a home going celebration Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 at 12 noon at the Greater Campher Temple, 125 West Bethel St., PO Box 568, Hagerstown, MD 21740. Donations in Rhoda’s memory to the Building fund of Greater Campher Temple or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
