Betty Jean Morley (FKA Bessie Luvonne Moore), 81 years young passed away on October 14th, 2016 in Newfane N.Y. Born on February 1, 1935 in Fort Valley, Georgia.

She was the daughter of Earla Lee Jones and Dan Van. Betty was known for her heartwarming laugh & making others laugh as well. She took great pride in always looking good, smelling the best with her Estee Lauder “Cinnabar” perfume, cooking from scratch and keeping her home immaculately clean. Betty enjoyed listening to music, watching WWE wrestling in her past time and often spoke fondly of her favorite rapper “Tupac” and cartoon character “Betty Boop”. She was infamous for speaking her mind and sharing her thoughts in an unconventional, uncensored manner & loving everyone unconditionally. Betty knew “EVERYTHING” about her family, loved them to the moon & back twice and exemplified the word “Matriarch”. Ms. Betty touched many lives, was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Betty was predeceased in life by her loving husband Ernest Calvin Morley, sons Ernest Calvin Morley Jr., Theophilus Morley III, Michael Louis Morley and Aunt Mary Belle Jones.

She is survived by a legacy of loyal and loving children including: Shirley Wyche, Ernestine (Valentine) Lopez, Priscilla (Clarence) Stewart, Mary Bogar, Charlie (Laurie) Morley, Joan Morley & Nicole (Jermaine) Davis. Grandchildren; John Rouse, Danielle Boston, Daron Woods, Kenneth Rouse, Marcus Wyche, Toshunda LaToya Wyche, Chudney (Jason) Palone, Valentine Lopez III, Naomi Cunningham, Christina LaBarre, Jamal Bogar, Tauren Bogar, Malek Morley, Michael Louis Morley II, Cameron Morley, William Patterson, Kevin Patterson, Andrew Patterson, Neshon Morley, Rashelle Morley, Michaela Morley, Janae Morley, Kalen Mitchell, Khari Demos, Kamanii Samuels and K’yu Samuels. In laws Hazel Cleveland, Helen Morley and Theophilus Morley II, honorary daughter Gay Demos and a host of great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, Oct. 21st from 10-11 AM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., followed by a service at 11 AM.
