
ELLINGTON, Conn. — Canisius freshman David Hanes shot a 74 and sophomore teammate John Dantonio carded a 75 as the Golden Griffins closed out The Connecticut Cup at Ellington Ridge Country Club.
Hanes posted a three-round score of 226, which tied him for 25th in the field. Dantonio’s 75 on Tuesday was his lowest score of the 54-hole event. He finished in a tie for 52.
Boston College won the team title with a three-round score of 888. Canisius placed 15th as a team after posting a team score of 941.
Canisius will close out the fall season on Saturday, Oct. 15, when the Blue and Gold meets long-time Niagara in a dual match. That event will be played at Transit Valley Country Club in East Amherst.
